Frontex receives 250 specialized Raptors

The first of 250 Ford Ranger Raptor vehicles were delivered to Frontex headquarters in July, and the rest will be delivered by the end of September. The machines are specially equipped to meet the needs of Frontex and are designed to enhance their performance in operations conducted in the toughest and most difficult conditions throughout the European Union, ensuring the comfort and safety of the officers who will use them.
A large part of the vehicles will be stationed in Bulgaria and will support the efforts of the Border Guard in protecting the borders of Bulgaria and Europe.
The entry of the Ford Ranger Raptor into the Frontex fleet will help officers performing missions in support of European border protection and enhance the European agency's ability to support national border patrols.
The Ford Ranger Raptor has no concurrence, as it simultaneously provides the multi-functionality of a pickup truck, special suspension, tires and systems for heavy terrain, the dynamics of a sports car, durability and reliability. The machines are further equipped with advanced systems that enhance the safety, comfort and capabilities of the Raptor and are ready to provide the best mobility regardless of the terrain and weather.
Cars for Frontex are supplied by the Bulgarian company Moto-Pfoe.
